Eight days after the release of Beta 4, Apple releases Beta 5 of their iPhone OS 3.0 Software. A new pre-release version of iTunes 8.2 has been seeded to developers along with the new software. Once again, iTunes 8.2 is required to install the latest iPhone 3.0 beta software like the previous betas. With a bunch of new things coming with every update, who knows what Apple has installed for us in this beta?

It hasn't been long since Beta 5 has been released but here is just a small list of changes which have been found:

  • Bug fixes
  • Security updates
  • Improved YouTube
  • Patched tethering
  • MMS buttons removed
With Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference only one month away, the iPhone OS 3.0 is surely going to be a popular and featured topic of discussion, Apple may be trying to polish and sharpen the software before the public showing by increasing the pace of developer releases. For those that aren't a developer, the wait is almost over as the final release of the iPhone 3.0 firmware is officially scheduled for sometime this summer.
